Tt <br /> 3 <br /> 7� 01 May 2007 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 07-1516 <br /> t Page 12 of 39 <br /> T. <br /> 3.7 OIL AND GAS WELLS <br /> T. <br /> The EDR report references California Oil and Gas Well information as additional environmental <br /> record sources.The subject property appears to be located near the Vernalis Gas field;no wells were <br /> .r, shown on the property or adjacent properties; three wells were located between '/4 and ''/2 mile and <br /> 15 wells were located between '/z and one mile from the subject property. <br /> T The wells do not appear to be on or adjacent to the subject property;AGE has no direct evidence that <br /> the property has been impacted by gas field operations. <br /> T. <br /> 3.8. PRIOR AGRICULTURAL USE <br /> Aerial photographs show that the southern portion of the subject property was utilized as orchards <br /> from at least 1957 to 1963;the 1982 and subsequent photographs do not appear to show the property <br /> utilized for agricultural purposes. <br /> Agricultural use of land creates potential for soil and ground water to have been impacted by <br /> agricultural chemicals such as pesticides,herbicides and fertilizers.AGE found no direct indications, <br /> such as chemical storage or dumping, spilled powders, discolored or stained soil, or stressed <br /> vegetation, that the property has been significantly adversely impacted by agricultural chemicals. <br /> AGE notes that the property formerly stored and used agricultural chemicals,but the buildings and <br /> storage areas were removed by the time of the site reconnaissance. <br /> 3.9. PREVIOUS ENVIRONMENTAL INVESTIGATION <br /> AGE was not supplied reports or documentation from previous environmental assessments <br /> conducted on the subject property. The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department had <br /> purged historical files and only a site map listing previous site investigations was available; AGE <br /> contacted the Department of Toxic Substances and Control (DTSC) on 27 March 2007 and was <br /> authorized for file review on 18 April 2007 for information concerning report files. The following <br /> information was compiled from various sources. <br /> Pesticide Discharge Area Investi ate? ions <br /> • 1982: The property was identified as a potentially contaminated property by San Joaquin <br /> County.Hazardous waste inspections,drive-bys and questionnaires performed in 1982 noted <br /> that the property was used as a crop dusting service from at least 1949 and the Tracy Rural <br /> Fire Department inferred that there was waste discharge of agricultural chemicals to the <br /> Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc. <br />
