LDecember 6,2005
NOA Project Number: E05128A
Address,Date Tank Lines,Length,Pits Comments
Capacity
31396 South Highway 33
12-19-84 -- Three,70'leach lines Repair/Addition
3.7 Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
`
According to personal communication on September 20,2005 with James Thoming, the site is to
remain agricultural. Each parcel's maximum on-site septic tank usage could be for a primary
ho residence and a secondary dwelling unit. If there is to be any construction of a septic system, septic
system design should be based on the Environmental Health Department On-Site Wastewater Disposal
Standards or other engineering recommendations.
4.0 GROUND WATER INFORMATION
4.1 Ground Water Depth and Gradient
The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (1998 and 1999) ground
water depth and elevation maps were reviewed to determine the ground water levels near the Site.
The Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 maps are the most current maps available from the county. lJi
Examination of these maps indicates that no water level data is available for the Tracy/Banta area, A
which includes the Site, and no definite comments as to depth or gradient flow direction can be
made. Orr September 22, 2005,our office drilled a groundwater boring on the subject property to a
depth of 8.5 feet;no groundwater was encountered.
4.2 Potential Ground Water Contamination Issues
Identifying potential ground-water contamination sources was not part of the scope of work for the
soil suitability study.
Potential ground-water contamination can occur from a number of sources which often include leaky .
` underground storage tanks, agricultural activities, dairies, septic systems, and storm water infiltration.
Any past agricultural activities and the present use of septic systems in die area should be considered
potential ground-water contamination sources. Please see section 4.4 for additional water quality.:fl6,C)
details. `
4.3 Water Sample Location 1a"
p
According to James Thoming,no wells exist on the subject property;no water sample was taken.
4 .14
v
L
