"Thoming Unit" 1-28 Plugged and abandoned-dry hole <br /> LBalken Corp. `Balken-Young Unit 2" 3 Plugged and abandoned--dry hole <br /> The completed gas well is located across Ahern Road and the railroad tracks from the subject property. <br /> A section of Wildcat Map #606 is included in Appendix F of this report. <br /> 3.1.7 Site Reconnaissance <br /> A visual reconnaissance of the subject property was conducted on January 13,2005. Photographs of <br /> the subject property are attached to this report as Appendix B. A site visit/assessment checklist is <br /> Lattached to this report as Appendix D. <br /> The subject property was observed to be flat,triangular in shape,and planted with alfalfa. The western <br /> boundary of the property was defined by Koster Road,and the southern boundary was defined by an <br /> irrigation canal. The northeastern boundary was defined by railroad tracks, followed by Ahern Road. <br /> A Kinder Morgan underground petroleum pipeline was observed on the subject property boundary <br /> following the line of the railroad tracks. An irrigation canal and a dirt access road were also observed <br /> to run along the railroad tracks on the subject property. An electrical box for the railroad was observed <br /> near the intersection of the railroad tracks and Koster Road, at the northern corner of the subject <br /> property. <br /> An agricultural pond with one pump was observed at the northern corner of the subject property. The <br /> pump appeared to be powered by electricity from the power pole across Koster Road;one new-looking <br /> transformer was observed on the pole. Two pole-mounted transformers were observed at the <br /> southwest comer of the subject property;the transformers were marked with blue stickers indicating <br /> that they are PCB-free. <br /> Surrounding properties were surveyed at the time of the site reconnaissance. To the immediate north <br /> and east of the subject property was bare land. The land north of the subject property across both <br /> Ahem and Koster Roads held George's Service. The land to the south of the subject property was an <br /> orchard and a bare field. A bum pile and a pile of pipes were also observed to the south. The land to <br /> Lthe west was an orchard with a single-family residence. <br /> 8 "44 <br /> L <br />
