L
LDecember 5,2005
NOA Project Number: E05118A
L4.0 EVALUATION OF IDENTIFIED CONTAMINATION SOURCES
• Agricultural chemical residues may remain on the property. No evidence was found,
however,to indicate that the chemicals were applied inappropriately.
• Leaking substances from storage tanks along with surface staining from other sources can
L enter and contaminate soil and groundwater.
• Western Farm Service and Chevron-Texaco continue to monitor contamination on-site and
in their vicinity.According to the above referenced reports from GeoSyntec and Geomatrix
L Consultants, groundwater flow travels to the east and northeast, away from the subject
property.
L5.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
L Should the future residents of the subject property be interested in determining the quality of their
drinking water,EHD should be contacted for direction regarding the potential for impacts to
groundwater from the cases of Western Farm Service, Chevron-Texaco and/or the agricultural
Lhistory of the property and vicinity.
Given the historical uses of agricultural chemicals and petroleum products on the subject property,
L meaningful conclusions regarding the presence or extent of such material cannot be determined
without soil sampling and analysis.
L As the site is developed, any stained soil or sources of contamination, such as those identified in
Section 3.3, should be characterized and properly disposed in accordance with federal, state, and
local regulations.
LIf construction is to take place in the future in the vicinity of the plugged and abandoned dry hole
well on the subject property, the Department of Oil, Gas,and Geothermal Resources should be
Lcontacted for direction before proceeding.
The debris piles located at the northeast corner and the center of the west property boundary of the
subject property should be disposed appropriately.
1~
L6.0 LIMITATIONS
This report was compiled as a Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report for the subject
property. This report contains information and data provided to NOA by several sources. NOA in
no way warrants the accuracy or completeness of the information provided to this investigation by
those sources.
L
L12
L
