1.4.3 Water Sample Location
One domestic well exists on the site. No permits were found during a recent file review at EHD.
A well water sample was taken on December 15, 2008 by Jessen Welch from the domestic well
on the Site.
1.4.4 Water Sample Constituents
a
The water sample was analyzed for nitrate and DBCP. A sampling Chain-of-Custody is attached
in the appendix. The results of these analyses are forthcoming.
t
I 1.4.5 Well Water Sample Collection, Handling, and Transportation
The sample for nitrate was collected in a clean plastic container; the sample for DBCP was
collected in two clean glass vials. The samples were then transported on ice and remanded
under chain of custody to FGL Environmental, Stockton.
1.4.6 Chain of Custody
The Chain of Custody document has been included in the appendix of this report.
1.5 Soil Profile and Geologic Information
The Site is depicted on the California Geologic Survey Map of the San Francisco-San Jose
Quadrangle as within the Quaternary Modesto Formation Upper Member (Qm2), which is
composed of arkosic alluvium forming Mokelumne River terraces and alluvial fans (Plate 5). It
is composed of chiefly sand with minor gravel and silt that is probably glacial outwash material.
The surface and near surface soils located at the Site are reported by the San Joaquin County
Soil Survey to be composed of (101) Acampo sandy loam with 0-2% slopes, and (130)
Columbia fine sandy loam, drained with 0-2% slopes (Plate 6) (USDA, 1992). The table below
presents some selected properties of these soils:
Table 1.
San Joaquin County Soil Survey
Elected Soil Properties of On-Site Soils.
Soil Name Depth Salinity Soil Perme- tank
eptic
and Map p Unified Soil Classification mmhos Reaction ability
Symbol (`n) /cm pH (in/hr) absorptio
n fields
Acampo, 0-19: Sandy loam; SM <2 6.1 - 7.8 2.0 - 6.0 Moderate:
101 19-47: Sandy loam, fine sandy loam, <2 6.6 - 8.4 2.0 - 6.0 cemented
coarse sandy loam.; SM pan
47-49: Indurated; --- --- --- ---
49-60: Cemented; --- --- --- ---
902 Industrial Way-Lodi,CA 95240-209.367.3701 •Fax 209.369.4228 ©2008 Neil O.Anderson&Associates,Inc
