Comments for 9-20-12 Planning Commission Hearing on St. Jorge Winery Expansion, <br /> Site Approval Application No. PA-1200063 <br /> Dear Ms. Hatef, <br /> This letter is submitted on behalf of Romano and Judy Isola as an addendum to the <br /> Comment Letter sent to you by this office on August 31, 2012 regarding the Site Approval <br /> application noted above. Since August 31",your staff has completed its report(undated, <br /> transmitted September 14,2012) for the Planning Commission's consideration at the hearing <br /> scheduled for September 20,2012. In light of the continuing nature of the St. Jorge Winery <br /> business operating without authorization from the Community Development Department and <br /> attendant public health and safety issues,this letter follows that staff report. <br /> The report states under"Enforcement" on page three that since the June 22, 2012 meeting <br /> between yourself and other county staff members, and Vern and Jenise Vierra, "violations have <br /> occurred"in which"it was determined the commercial kitchen structure was utilized and a <br /> marketing event did take place exceeding the maximum permitted number of 25 attendees." <br /> In light of this and all else that has transpired, we request that the Planning Commission <br /> direct the Community Development Department enforcement staff to fully investigate the <br /> following: <br /> 1) All "Conditions of Approval"for the St. Jorge Winery permit number <br /> PA-0500306,issued on or about July 22, 2005; <br /> 2) All requirements for that permit which were related in the June 16, 2005 letter <br /> from SJCOG,Inc.,to Gillian Hayes of the San Joaquin County Community <br /> Development Department; and <br /> 3) All requirements for that permit which were related in the June 29,2005 letter <br /> from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department,to the San <br /> Joaquin County Community Development Department. <br /> Copies of these three documents are attached.
