Jun 27 06 08: 20a San Joaquin County OES 2094682600 p, 4
r
oPgviH c
.' .o
rl
Q•
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY- OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES
222 East Weber Avenue,Room 610A,Stockton,CA 95202
Telephone(209)468-3969
' CALIFORNIA HAZARDOUS MATERIALS INCIDENT REPORT
Additional Comments Form
XSJ-01051
OES 5 (A.Bentley)responded to 8-5 gallon containers of unknown hazmats at Bieghle and Clover in
Stockton.Upon arrival it was determined that the material was on Stockton City jurisdiction and
Stockton Fire Dispatch was advised. I surveyed the incident and determined that all were empty 5
gallon containers except 1 with misc.garbage, 1 with dog fecal matter, 1 with approx.2 gallons of
unknown material and 1 -2.5 gallon clear container with about 1 quart of waste oil,all in a drainage
ditch at the end of Bieghle Street. While waiting for Stockton Fire's Hazmat 1 to arrive, I pulled the
empty containers and the one container with unknown contents up to the bank of the ditch. When the
hazmat unit arrived I pulled a sample for hazcatting and determined the material to be a solution of
" what was on the labeled container-floor wax. On the top of the container, the name"Crestwood
Manor"was written. I notified Environmental Health and spoke to Doug Wilson to advise on
disposal. He said that although it was low hazard,it must be disposed in a sanitary sewer system.
Stockton Fire personnel said they could dispose of the material at the Stockton Municipal Utilities
Waste Treatment Facility so they took possession of the container and contents. I took the waste oil
to the San Joaquin County shop facility for waste oil recycling.
San Joaquin County Public Works was notified to have channel maintenance pick up the rest of the
material.
Page 3
