This project includes a Permit application to allow for <br /> an increase in the size and number of signs on a multi-tenant parcel. The project is located east of <br /> Thornton Rd., 800 ft.north of SR 12, near I-5 in Flag City, APN 025-190-18. <br /> The land uses proposed with the new construction are compatible with the 2009 ALUCP Zones for <br /> Kingdon Executive Airport. The following are standards and project design conditions specific to <br /> compliance with the 2009 ALUCP and should be carried through as conditions of approval: <br /> 1. New land uses that may cause visual, electronic, or increased bird strike hazards to aircraft in <br /> flight shall not be permitted within any airport's influence area. Specific characteristics to be <br /> avoided include: <br /> o Glare or distracting lights which could be mistaken for airport lights. Reflective <br /> materials are not permitted to be used in structures or signs (excluding traffic directing <br /> signs); <br /> o Sources of dust, steam, or smoke which may impair pilot visibility; <br /> o Sources of electrical interference with aircraft communications or navigation. No <br /> transmissions which would interfere with aircraft radio communications or navigational <br /> signals are permitted. <br />
