KLEINFELDER 6 SITE RECONNAISSANCE A representative from Kleinfelder, Jennifer Young, Staff Geologist, conducted a site reconnaissance on June 19, 2000, to assess and photograph present site conditions. The approximate site boundaries are shown in Appendix A, Plate 2 "Site Map," and color photographs of the site are presented on Plate 3. The site conditions discussed below are limited to readily apparent environmental conditions observed. 6.1. GENERAL INFORMATION The subject site consists of a 12.76 acre parcel to the west of Thornton Road and a 20 acre parcel to the east of Thornton Road. The western portion of the site consists of a vacant field with large amounts of grass and trees throughout this area. There are no structures present. Transmission lines are trending southwest/northeast across the northwest corner of this area. The eastern portion of the site consists of a vacant grass field, which encompasses approximately 5 acres along the southern border of this area. The northern 15 acres of this area consist of a vineyard and a dirt drive path. The dirt drive path is trending east/west across border of the vacant grass field and the vineyard. 6.1.1. Hazardous Substances in Connection with Identified Uses No hazardous substances in connection with identified uses were noted on the site at the time of N our visit. 6.1.2. Hazardous Substance Containers in Connection with Unknown Uses, and Unidentified Substance Containers No hazardous substance containers or unidentified substance containers were observed on the site at the time of our visit. 6.1.3. Storage Tanks No obvious visual evidence of USTs (such as vent or fill pipes)or ASTs was noted on site during our visit. 6.1.4.
