PA-0600283 OF JOHN VANDERWEFF (FIFTH SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT) IT IS RECOMMENDED: That the Board of Supervisors: Approve and adopt the written findings and analysis supporting the decision by the Board of Supervisors to deny Ubiquitel/Complete Wireless' appeal of the Planning Commission's denial of Site Approval Application PA-0600283 of John Vanderwerff. BACKGROUND: On or about May 12, 2006, Appellant Ubiquitel/Complete Wireless, through John Vanderwerff, submitted a Site Approval Application to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department to build a 120 foot high monopole cell tower with antennas and related equipment shelter. On September 7, 2006, after considering oral and written testimony, the San Joaquin County Planning Commission voted 3-2 to deny Application PA-0600283. On September 14, 2006,Ubiquitel/Complete Wireless appealed the Planning Commission's decision to the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors. On October 24, 2006, after receiving oral testimony and written evidence on the appeal of the Planning Commission's decision, the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to uphold the Planning Commission's decision. REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION: The Board of Supervisors is required to adopt written findings of fact and analysis to support its decision to deny Ubiquitel/Complete Wireless' appeal of the Planning Commission's denial of Site Approval Application No. PA-0600283 of John Vanderwerff. (Attachment A).
