MUSD
MANTECA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
Sanely Dwyer, Administrator of Facilities Planning
RECIEVED
June 8,2006 JUN 9 2006
- Community Development Dept,
Mr. Rick Griffin, San Joaquin County
Community Development Department
1810 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton,CA 95205
Subject: Application—PA-0600283(SA)
Dear Mr. Griffin:
Manteca Unified is requesting the letter dated June 1, 2006, stating no comments or recommendation, for
the proposed 120 foot monopole communications tower be rescinded. It has come to the attention of the
Manteca Unified School District that the location of the proposed monopole is adjacent to a parcel where
Manteca Unified is planning to construct their proposed fifth high school.
Manteca Unified is concerned the 120 foot monopole will interfere with the antennas that will be installed at
the new high school thereby causing interference with the school district's communications. Based on the
above concern Manteca Unified is recommending the San Joaquin County, Community Development
Department, not approve the Site application for the 120 foot monopole communications tower.
Should you require additional information or have any questions, I can be contacted at (209) 825-3200,
extension 758 or you may contact Mary Karim, Facilities Planning Specialist at (209) 825-3200, extension
763.
Sincerely,
MANTECA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
iacJ
Sandy Dw r
Administrator of Facilities Planning
Facilities Department
P.O.
