The project would entail mining 44.5 acres of a 59-acre site to <br /> a depth of approximately 100 feet, depending on the quality of the material <br /> encountered, and backfill to approximately 80 feet, depending on how much <br /> waste is generated. The site would be reclaimed to open space and <br /> grazing land. <br /> Reclamation plans must meet the minimum requirements of the Surface <br /> Mining and Reclamation Act (SMARA) and the State Mining and Geology <br /> Board's regulations for surface mining and reclamation practice. (See <br /> Public Resources Code Section 2710 et seq.; and, California Code of <br /> Regulations (CCR) Title 14, Chapter 8, Article 1, Section 3500 et seq. <br /> and, Article 9, Section 3700 et seq.) prior to approval by the lead agency. <br /> This plan should be supplemented with the following information in order <br /> to meet minimum state requirements. <br />
