January 4,2006
NOA Project Number: E05166B
for nitrate, based on the low levels of nitrate on the site as a whole we do not foresee build un of
nitrate in the ground water.
2 Methods of Mitigation X
Because of the concern of buildup of nitrates in groundwater, our engineered septic systems
prepared for Parcels 1 through 5 incorporate an oversized septic tank and leach field that will
improve digestion of the waste water.
A.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
I,,/ Our office concludes that the proposed project will not cause a build up of nitrates above 10
mg/L-N in the ground water on the Site.Although parcel 4 is 0.1 ma/L over the MCL for nitrate,
based on the low levels of nitrate on the site as a whole we do not foresee build up of nitrate in the
ground water. Our client has retained NOA to design engineered- tk sy_slems for Parcels 1 .
through 5 because of slow percolation rates. In these systems,we have incorporated an oversized
septic tank that will hep reduce total nitrogen in the system. We conclude, based on the
` aforementioned, that each parcel is suitable for development using an engineered septic system with
the exception of parcels 6 and 7,which are suitable for standard septic systems.
` //6.1 Signatures
The signatures of the environmental professionals involved in the preparation of this report can be
` found on the cover sheet at the front of this package.
6.2 Attachments
All required attachments and appendices can be found at the rear of this package.
his 7.0 LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed, our findings obtained, and our conclusions proposed in
accordance with generally accepted engineering principles and practices. This warranty is in lieu of
all other warranties either expressed or implied.
