The proposed septic disposal areas for the secondary dwelling units on <br /> each parcel appear suitable for an engineered septic system.We recommend a Civil Engineer <br /> prepare a septic system design for the proposed secondary dwelling unit septic disposal areas on <br /> each parcel unless additional percolation testing,performed under EHD oversight,achieves a <br /> satisfactory rate;or the proposed location for the secondary dwelling units on each parcel are moved <br /> to an area within the required maximum distance of 100 feet from a percolation test hole which <br /> ` achieved a satisfactory percolation rate. <br /> ` <br /> /7.0 CONCLUSIONS <br /> In summary,the soils within the proposed sewage disposal areas of the primary dwelling units of <br /> each parcel have demonstrated a satisfactory percolation rate for a standard septic system utilizing <br /> leach lines and seepage pits. <br /> The soils within the proposed sewage disposal areas for the secondary dwelling units did not <br /> demonstrate a satisfactory percolation rate and appear suitable for an engineered septic system. We <br /> recommend a Civil Engineer prepare a septic system design for the proposed secondary dwelling <br /> ` unit septic disposal areas on each parcel unless additional percolation testing,performed under <br /> EHD oversight,achieves a satisfactory rate;or the proposed location for the secondary dwelling <br /> units on each parcel are moved to an area within the required maximum distance of 100 feet from a <br /> percolation test hole which achieved a satisfactory percolation rate. <br /> No ground water was encountered in any of the borings drilled on the property. The depth to <br /> ground water was found to be approximately 130 to 150 feet below the ground surface for the <br /> period of Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 based on the San Joaquin County Ground Water Maps. No well <br /> water sample was taken because no wells exist on the subject property. <br /> 9 <br />
