Mencarini Property Page 13 of 14
Our Project Number: LGS080538
August 26, 2008
2 X2 Methods of Mitigation
Because of the favorable result of the nitrate loading calculation, no mitigation measures are
warranted.
3. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
In summary, percolation rates that meet the minimum EHD standards were achieved in the
proposed septic disposal area of the proposed parcel. The parcel appears suitable for the use
of a standard septic system.
r, The septic system design for the wine tasting facility should accommodate the peak flows of
planned marketing events. Septic system design should be based on the On-Site Wastewater
Disposal Standards or other -engineering recommendations. All septic system construction
should follow the San Joaquin County On-Site Wastewater Disposal Standards where applicable.
The on-site water well was tested for nitrate and DBCP. DBCP was found at 0.17 /L, below
the MCL water limit of 0.2 pg/L, and nitrate concentration in groundwa er was ound to be 31.6
mg/L-NO3 which is also below the maximum contaminant drinking water limit of 45 mg/L-NO3.
No groundwater was encountered in any of the borings drilled on the property to a maximum of
8.5 feet. The depth to groundwater was approximately 30 to 45 feet below the ground surface
for the period of Fall 2003 and Spring 2004 based on County groundwater maps.
$,0-- LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed, our findings obtained, and our conclusions proposed
in accordance with generally accepted engineering principles and practices.
