The lower two feet will <br /> contain the soil back-fill and wetland gravel substrate(porosity assumed to be 0.33), and the <br /> upper two feet will provide for freeboard in the basin. The normal storage capacity of the <br /> �- wetland will be approximately 48,390 gallons. The two feet of freeboard will add an additional <br /> `, 178,120 gallons for a maximum storage capability of 226,510 gallons. <br /> The storm water detention area will be a total of 3 feet deep. The lower foot will be the normal <br /> %W overflow storage, and there will be two feet of freeboard. The normal storage capacity of the <br /> tea. storm water detention area will be 30,120 gallons. It will have a freeboard volume of 71,410 <br /> gallons for a maximum storage capability of 101,530 gallons. Total maximum storage for both <br /> the wetland and the storm water detention area is 328,040 gallons. <br /> '�kw Initial Conditions. The wetland was assumed to be at normal operating condition with the gravel <br /> substrate pore spaces full of water, but no water in the free board volume on the first of January <br /> ` each year. It was also assumed that there was no water in the storm water detention area. <br /> Average and 100-year annual return rainfall years were modeled to assess the capacity of the <br /> `, proposed wetland/land disposal system to manage wastewater and storm water discharged from <br /> the winery utilizing calculated wastewater flow data. (Separate calculations were performed for <br /> projected wastewater flows based on the 10-year expansion plan, and these calculations will be <br /> presented in Section 5.) <br /> Water Balance Calculation for Average Annual Rainfall <br /> The estimated flow rates for the current expansion is approximately 0.2 million gallons of <br /> process water generated per year. Table 4.2 presents the results of the water balance calculations <br /> `, based on this process water estimate, and the storm water flow in an average rainfall year(0.5 <br /> million gallons). The water balance calculations show that during average rainfall years no all of <br /> the wastewater and storm water will be detained in the wetland system and discharged to the land <br /> disposal area, and there will be not overflow to the storm water detention area. <br /> `• <br /> `.r Table 4.2.
