FuTuRE EXPANSION PLANS <br /> %W <br /> Illow All of the water balance and surface loading rate calculations described in Section 4.3 were <br /> performed again to analyze the system under the projected 10-year flows (as described in <br /> Sections 3.1.2 and 3.1.3). Nothing changed in the calculations except the flow rates of both the <br /> process water and the storm water. FCE performed this second set of water balance and surface <br /> loading rate calculations to assess the performance of the wetland treatment system under future <br /> flow conditions. <br /> 5.1 Water Balance Calculations <br /> Monthly water balance calculations were performed for the wetland, grass disposal area, and <br /> storm water detention area at Jessie's Grove Winery under the projected 10-Year plan flows. <br /> .. The monthly water balance is the difference between inflows to the disposal area and losses from <br /> the element's surface. Parameters used in the water balance calculations included wetland and <br /> storm water detention area surface area and depth, wetland porosity, evapo-transpiration rates, <br /> grass field area, Winery area, wastewater flow rate, and soil infiltration rate. <br /> .. <br /> Average and wet annual rainfall years were modeled to assess the capacity of the proposed <br /> wetland/land disposal system to manage wastewater and storm water discharged from the <br /> winery. <br /> L Water Balance Calculation for Average Annual Rainfall <br /> The estimated flow rates for the 10-year plan is approximately 0.5 million gallons of process <br /> water is generated per year. Table 5.1 presents the results of the water balance calculations <br /> �- based on this process water estimate and the storm water flow in an average rainfall year(0.5 <br /> %W million gallons). The water balance calculations show that during average rainfall years, the <br /> fields perform hydraulically without any overflow. <br /> %' Table 5.1.
