If the pesticide label or regulation requires a larger buffer area, the larger buffer shall apply. <br /> There will be no waiver of the required 24 hour Notice of Intent. <br /> These conditions do not apply to the following ground applications: <br /> 1.Vertebrate pest control <br /> 2.Back-pack applications <br /> 3.Equipment where all nozzles are pointing down AND wind direction is periodically measured as moving away from the <br /> school site <br /> 4.Other CAC approved methods <br /> NOTE: The uses of soil fumigants and their corresponding buffer zones are covered by DPR suggested permit conditions or <br /> by label. <br /> GWP-R2 Incorporated <br /> CONDITION-GWP-R2 - RUNOFF GROUNDWATER PROTECTION AREAS. INCORPORATED. <br /> Within 48 hours after the day a 3CCR section 6800(a) pesticide is applied, the property operator shall incorporate the <br /> pesticide on at least 90 percent of the area treated using a disc, harrow rotary tiller, or other mechanical method, or by <br /> sprinkler or low flow irrigation, including chemigation if allowed by the label using a minimum of 1/4 inch of irrigation water and <br /> a maximum of either one inch or the maximum amount of irrigation water specified on the label, <br /> at application rates that do not cause surface water runoff from the treated property or to wells on the treated property. This <br /> incorporation does not apply to the area treated immediately adjacent to the crop row for a distance not to exceed 33 percent <br /> of the distance between crop rows. <br /> GWP-R5 Runoff water held onsite <br /> CONDITION- GWP-R5 - RUNOFF GROUNDWATER PROTECTION AREAS. RUNOFF WATER HELD ONSITE. <br /> For six months after the application of 3CCR section 6800(a) pesticides,the field shall be designed, by berms, levees, or <br /> nondraining circulation systems, to retain all irrigation runoff and all precipitation on, and drainage through, the field. The <br /> retention area on the field shall not have a percolation rate of more than 0.2 inches per hour. <br /> O Aluminum&Magnesium Phosphide <br /> Use in Rodent Burrow Fumigations <br /> These use conditions are based on a determination by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation that exposure to <br /> phosphine fumigants is a risk to public safety. <br /> 1. Use is strictly prohibited around all residential areas, including single and multi-family residential properties, nursing homes, <br /> schools (except athletic fields where use may continue), day care facilities, and hospitals. <br /> 2. The products must only be used outdoors for control of burrowing pests, and are for use only on agricultural areas, <br /> orchards, non-crop areas (such as pasture and rangeland), golf courses, athletic fields, parks and recreational areas, <br /> cemeteries, airports, rights-of-way, earthen dams, and other non-residential institutional or industrial sites. <br /> 3. Products must not be applied in a burrow system that is within 100 feet of a building that is or may be occupied by people <br /> or domestic animals. This buffer zone for treatment around non-residential buildings that could be occupied by people or <br /> animals has been increased from 15 feet to 100 feet. <br /> 4. When this product is used in athletic fields or parks, the applicator must post a sign at entrances to the treated site <br /> containing the signal word DANGER/PELIGRO, skull and crossbones,the words: DO NOT ENTER/NO ENTRE, FIELD NOT <br /> FOR USE, the name and EPA registration number of the fumigant, and a 24-hour emergency response number. Signs may <br /> be removed 2 days after the final treatment. <br />
