6. <br /> ` INTRODUCTION & PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> The site is located west of Sowles Road and east of Buck Road, on the north side of Underwood <br /> Road. The area is zoned AL-5. The site was planned for a nursery for plants. The partnership was <br /> L dissolved and the current owner has decided to subdivide and sell both parcels. Only a few ground <br /> cover plants remain. Well water and electricity are at the site. No septic system exists. The surface <br /> a runoff and some irrigation water from several parcels drain to the pond. The parcel is flat. The <br /> Lframes of the hot houses are in place. <br /> PAST, PRESENT/PROPOSED USES <br /> La./ The present owner acquired the property in 1981. The former owner raised cattle and used the <br /> parcel for pasture. <br /> LIDENTIFICATION OF ALL PAST CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION <br /> LResearch and investigation for potential or known above and below ground sources of <br /> 3 contamination on or near the site was contracted with Electronic Data Resources, Inc.(EDR). The <br /> standard for this search is ASTM E-1527-00. <br /> L <br /> Data furnished by EDR includes Topographic Maps for the years 1953, 1968 & 1993. Also <br /> included are Aerial Photographs of the site and surrounding area for the years 1952,1984,1993 & <br /> L 1998. <br /> The topographic map for 1993 shows the existing pond to the east and one to the west. <br /> L The Topographic maps show the 90'contour running thru a portion of the parcel.The land slopes <br /> westerly and drops approximately 5' vertically in 3,000'horizontally. No structures are shown on <br /> ` the topo map as existing on the subject parcel. <br /> L The aerial photographs show the predominantly agricultural operations surrounding the parcel. <br /> L The EDR Radius Map w/Geo Check states: the target property was not listed in any of the <br /> databases searched by EDR. No mapped sites were found in EDR's search of available <br /> (reasonably ascertainable)government records either on the target property or within the ASTM <br /> L3 E 1527-00 search radius around the target property. <br /> 3 / A request was made to the SJC Agricultural Commissioner's office for a report showing any <br /> L <br /> chemical use in the past 5 years. The chemical use reports are included and indicate the quantity <br /> and name of the chemical. <br /> L / Additionally septic repair permits were obtained as available on Underwood Road.
