The most reliable data to determine wastewater flow volumes is using historical data from
the existing St. Bernard's Church and extrapolating this data for fixture anticipated flow
volumes. The attached City of Tracy"Bill for Utility Services" for the existing Church
illustrates Water Consumption History for the past year. It is our understanding this Bill is
for water usage originating from the Church, Ministry Center, Rectory, Youth Center and
includes an unknown percentage of water used for landscape irrigation. The assumption
is made that all water usage for this meter is eventually wastewater. Over the past year,
96,400 ft x 7.48 gals/ft== 721,072 gallons of water were used. This equals 13,867
gallons per week, or an average daily flow of 1,980 gallons per day. St. Bernard's Church
officials are projecting a 25% increase in attendance after the Church and Multipurpose
Building are constructed, which is anticipated to level off at this increased attendance
figure. Therefore the ultimate wastewater flow volume from the Church and
Multipumose Building is estimated to be 1,980 gpd x 25% increase=an average daily
flow of 2,475 gpd.
The following Chart summarizes the various methods of wastewater flow volume determinations
estimated for the new St. Bernard's Catholic Church:
TABLE 8
WASTEWATER FLOW AVERAGE DAILY FLOW VOLUMES
DETERMINATION METHOD (gallons per day)
Published Scientific Data 1,179 gpd
Plumbing Fixture Counts/Bathroom Use per Capita 1,571 gpd
City of Tracy Standards 5,062 gpd
San Joaquin County Sewage Standards T 5,714 gpd
Page -13-
Chesney Consulting
