Upon our review, we have determined a portion of the
proposed minor subdivision lies within the 100-year floodplain for this fork of Little John's Creek.
We have also determined the proposed minor subdivision will not affect flood control in this
area. However, a CVFPB encroachment permit will be required for any development along the
creek in the future.
Please be aware that the CVFPB's area of jurisdiction includes the entire Central Valley, along
with all tributaries and distributaries of the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers, and the Tulare
and Buena Vista Basins. California Code of Regulations Title 23, Waters, outlines the
regulations for the CVFPB, and they can be viewed at: http://www.cvfpb.ca.gov, along with other
helpful maps and information pertaining to the CVFPB's activities.
We appreciate the opportunity to comment on potential projects within your jurisdiction. If you
have any questions about this letter, please contact Mr. Jon Tice of my staff at (916) 574-0279,
or by e-mail at IticeAwater.ca.gov.
Sincerely,
Michael C.
