The ranch has two poultry houses 38,000 square feet that <br /> will be used to raise 11,900 chickens. <br /> Manure Management: The chickens will be reared on litter floors. During the rearing <br /> period the litter will be topped as necessary to remove any wet spots. Wet spots and fly <br /> production will be prevented by frequently checking the water system to assure there are <br /> no leaks. Leaks will be promptly corrected. Watering devices will be moved as practical <br /> to prevent build up of wet manure in adjacent areas. The litter and manure will be <br /> removed from the houses after each.group of chickens is sold or when clean out is desired <br /> by management for hygienic reasons (this period will be one year from the day the litter <br /> is spread). It will be removed from.the premise within 7 days of cleanout as required by <br /> County regulations. <br /> Records: Records will be kept of individuals who take/buy manure- This will include an + <br /> address and phone number far eacb';,.manure hauler/customer. Manure haulers/customers <br /> will bye instructed that the manure Must be applied at appropriate_rates and incorporated <br /> into soil within 24 hours of land application if the site is within San Joaquin County. <br /> If manure is applied on the-ranch site it must be applied at rates appropriate for the crop- <br /> to be grown and incorporated into soil within 24 hours. <br />
