Via Nicolo Road approximately 0.5 miles south of State Route 580
(SR-580) and the SR-580/Patterson Pass interchange. The Department has the following
comments:
• This proposed development may not create a major impact on SR-5 80 when
considered by itself However, when combined with the cumulative impacts of other
existing and proposed development in this area, the resulting traffic will contribute to
the significant congestion forecasted to the SR-580 mainline and at the Patterson Pass
interchange of SR-580/Via Nicolo Road. Therefore, the Department recommends the
collection of impact fees on a "Fair Share" basis for future improvements to these
facilities.
• An Encroachment Permit will be required for work (if any) done within the
Department's right of way. This work is subject to the California Environmental
Quality Act. Therefore, Additional biological, archaeological, or other environmental
studies may be required as part of the encroachment permits application. A qualified
professional must conduct any such studies undertaken to satisfy the Department's
environmental review responsibilities. Ground disturbing activities to the site prior to
completion and/or approval of required environmental documents may affect the
" altrans improves+nobtfisy across Cal jornta '
