The
District can not deliver irrigation water to the proposed subdivision because it would
_ violate'our contract witli'the Federal Goverriment. We also can notdeliver other types of
non federal'irrigation water because it is not available in that area.
The District would require that the proposed subdivision detach from the District, In
order for this to be accomplished the owner of the property would have to go through
LAFCO. They would need to act as the agent for the following parcels along their
western boundary and detach them to prevent the subdivision from forming an island in., .r
the District. These parcels are 255-180- 04, 255- 180- 05, 255- 180-06, 255--180- 07,
255- 180- 08. The District has an irrigation canal within the area to be detached and will
preserve its rights of way within the area. N, _.
The Districts irrigation canal is an open facility-and the District has no plans to pipe the
canal. Therefore the proposed subdivision needs to realize that adequate rights of ways
need to be preserved for ingress and egress and the ability to the necessary maintenance
to maintain the facility.
Sincerely yours
Ronald Roos, Manager
