(WFS) facility in Vemalis, California (Figure 1). <br /> GeoSyntec Consultants, Inc. (GeoSyntec) prepared this report on behalf of WFS, per <br /> _ our 25 August 2003 remedial action work plan (RAP)l. <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> By letter dated 5 March 2003, the Regional Water Quality Control Board — Central <br /> Valley Region (RWQCB) issued a draft Monitoring and Reporting Program (MRP) for <br /> the WFS Vernalis site. Included with the draft MRP was a site status memorandum, in <br /> which the RWQCB requested the development of a cleanup plan for the fertilizer <br /> constituents (mainly nitrate and ammonium) in soil in the vicinity of the former tank <br /> farm, which was south of the current tank farm (Figure 2). <br /> GeoSyntec Consultants, 2003.
