Surface &Subsurface Contamination Report Page 1$ <br /> Sandhu Property <br /> Project No. 522.1 <br /> March 9, 2006 <br /> 4.0 SUMMARY OF SITE RECONNAISSANCE <br /> Observations of the Property made during the site reconnaissance on February <br /> 17, 2006 are described below. (See Appendix A for reference maps and Appendix <br /> B for photos of the Property). <br /> Property Setting & Location <br /> The Property consists of a 37-acre agricultural parcel, just north of the <br /> unincorporated town of Vernalis. <br /> Physical Description <br /> In general, the Property consists of a large, fallow field, that has been recently <br /> disked. It is covered in somewhat sparse vegetation. <br /> The only notable - 9tallations are a PVC riser t at reportedly protects idle <br /> water supply well" and the remnan of oncret w > <br /> No were observed with soil staining, stressed vegetation, or other evidence <br /> that might suggest a release of hazardous materials. The ground surface is, <br /> however, notable for scattered gravel stones and fragments of concrete, which <br /> are suggestive of construction debris. <br /> Adjacent Properties <br />` Adjacent Properties Southwest <br /> The Property is adjacent to an agricultural chemical retail distributor (Western <br /> Farm Service) and several residences. Beyond these is State Highway 33. A <br /> concrete-lined irrigation canal separated Western Farm Service from the subject <br /> Propetry. <br /> L <br /> Adjacent Properties East <br /> Welty Road bounds the Property.
