SA-89-37 ) <br /> Submitted for your review are the results of a Soil <br /> Suitability Study on the Robert L. Roberts property <br /> (Sunnyvale Lumber Company ) located in Vernalis , CA. <br /> Existing Septic Systems <br /> Existing San Joaquin County records were reviewed for the <br /> area in the immediate vicinity of the subject property . <br /> Permits were found for five properties . The septic <br /> systems were installed between May 11 , 1976 and <br /> December 9, 1986 . Two properties ( 35250 and 35275 <br /> S . Highway 33 ) were repairs or additions . They were <br /> installed January 22 , 1985 and December9 , 1986 <br /> respectively. <br /> Existing Use <br /> The existing 5 . 8± acres is undeveloped with scattered <br /> trees . <br /> Percolation Test <br /> A percolation test was performed in accordance with the <br /> percolation tests procedures outlined in the "Manual <br /> Septic Tank Practice" , published by U. S . Department <br /> of Health, Education and Welfare and per requirements <br /> of the San Joaquin County Local Health District . <br /> On November 26 and 27 , 1990 , a percolation test was <br /> performed by me on the above referenced property in <br /> conformance with the San Joaquin County Ordinance No . 549 . <br /> The approximate location of the test hole is shown on the <br /> accompanying Detail Map. <br /> The Percolation Test Hole had a percolation rate of 34 <br /> minutes per inch. The soil is sandy clay loam. <br /> Three hundred sixty feet of leach lines with a <br /> filter bed of 1440 Sq. Ft . is recommended . The <br /> Calculated Tank Capacity is 1575 gallons . The above <br /> recommendations are based on 25 employees and a usage <br /> of 15 gallons per day per employee . <br />
