PUBLIC REALTH SERNqCES
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY r.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION " ° f
Karen Furst, M.D., M.P.H., Health Officer . ; P..
304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor - Stockton, CA 95202 <IFOR
209/468-3420
October 6, 1998
TO: San Joaquin County Community Development Department
FROM: Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
g)
CONTACT PERSON: Steven Mindt, Sr. R.E.H.S.
PHONE NUMBER: (209) 468-0343
RE: LA-98-59,Attention Jim Van Buren
4351 East Winery Road,Acampo
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (EHD) is unable to approve this
Lot Line Adjustment for the following reasons:
A site visit to this facility and subsequent file review of the project revealed:
1. This Facility should be a Public Water System per California Health and Safety Code
and California Code of Regulations, Title 22. This system is serving water of
unknown quality, for 34 employees.
2. The proposed is a commercial/industrial site with no septic system expansion or
replacement area shown (County Code requires 100%minimum future expansion
area). A site visit indicates no area within the proposed parcel to install a repair that
meets County Ordinance. The system was installed in 1986 and,has been repaired
two times since 1986.
3. The last septic system repair was illegally started without benefit of a valid permit by
this division. The facility indicated that there was "no room for leach line repair."
However, the facility is sited on 20 acres. A "Special Permit"was issued after work
had been commenced.
4. This site shall be addressed for sewage disposal, industrial waste disposal and for
public water by a"nitrate loading study", prior to approval from E.H.D. Industrial
wastes shall not be discharged to the sewage disposal system, as per County
Ordinance.
(Y)
A Division of San Joaquin Counry Health Care Services
