Addendum Number 2 to the Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study
Blue Oak Cellars
10112 E. Woodbridge Rd.
Acampo, CA
Dear Tom,
Per your request, a site visit was conducted on August 16, 2006 in regards to the location of the
boreholes in which perched water was identified during the initial preliminary test boreholes on May
24, 2006. These boreholes were advanced as part of the Soil Suitability Study. The location of the
preliminary test boreholes correlate with the vineyard irrigation line which runs approximately two feet
below the ground surface at these two locations. Based on these observations and the observation that
the pipe was repaired at these two locations,it is likely that the observed perched water is not perched
water but water which vacated the non pressurized irrigation pipe when it was punctured.
It is likely that the location of the completed shallow percolation test hole, drilled on May 31, 2006,
which encountered no groundwater within five feet below the bottom of the test hole, represents the
soil and groundwater conditions in the vicinity. The boreholes which encountered the irrigation pipeline
should not be considered as perched groundwater conditions.
Wc-appreciate this opportunity to be of service. If you have any questions please feel free to contact
our office.
Best Regards,
NEIL O.ANDERSON & ASSOCIATES
aures D.
