The California Clean Air Act (AB2595), requires areas that are
designated nonattainment to reduce emissions 5% annually until standards are met.
A concerted effort should be made to reduce project emissions if development occurs
as outlined below:
The following rule has been adopted by the SJVUAPCD to reduce emissions
throughout the San Joaquin Valley, and is required:
• District Regulation VIII - Fugitive Dust Rules is a series of rules designed to
reduce PM10 emissions generated by human activity, including but not limited
to construction, road building, bulk materials storage and landfill operations.
The provision of Rule 8020 (Construction) and Rule 8030 (Handling and
Storage) may apply to this project.
The SJVUAPCD suggests that the project applicant take all feasible measures to
David L.Crow
Executive Director.Air Pollution Control Officer
_00•meso 1.a3-1.S09i'3-.!COO912-3" 057
Northern Region Central Region Southern Region
_ _ w.
®Gnmeo on aayeiae P.—
