APN: 005-040-89,being a portion of Section 19,T4N,R9E,M.D.B.&M
San Joaquin County, California and located at 2988 E. Woodson Road,Acampo, CA.
This report concludes our testing and examination of the soil with respect to the ability of the soil
strata to support an on-site septic system for a single family residence with satisfactory service
and proper maintenance supplied by the owner.
USE OF PARCEL:
The land has been used for pasture. An irrigation well supplied water for the subject parcel at one
time. The irrigation well is not functional.
The property is to be subdivided. A copy of the Tentative Map is attached.
NEW OWNER: Prem Chandra, POB 581, Acampo, CA. 95220
Situs Address: 2855 E. Woodson Rd.,Acampo, CA. 95220
This report applies to proposed subdivision creating 3 lots.
PERCOLATION TESTING
A truck mounted drill rig was utilized to drill to 25'to determine a soil profile and check for S
water. On each of the three lots a shallow and deep test hole was drilled. On Parcel 1 and 2 the
top 18" was organic clay over hard pan to 9'. At a depth of 9'a layer of SiSd was found and was
approximately 2'thick. On Parcel 3, at a depth of 2,cemented hard pan was continous to 25'.
Parcel 3 has a lower elevation of all three proposed parcels and as such received the runoff from
the other parcels. This may be a factor in the existence of more cemented hard Dan and as a result
failed the percolation tgg.No water was observed in the 25'holes. The tests were conducted in
accordance with the EHD regulations by Mr. Walt Curtis,a Civil Engineer, licensed in the State
of California. The critical readings were observed by Mr. Johnny Yoakum,R.E.H.S. of the EHD,
San Joaquin County.
On Parcel 1 the 10'test hole rate of percolation was satisfactory. On Parcel 2 the 11.5'test hole
rate of percolation was satisfactory. On Parcel 3,both the shallow and deep tests failed. The test
1 report sheets are included in this report.
RETEST: Parcel 3 (south parcel)was again tested to verify the previous test results. On August
' 2 02 percolation tests shallow and 25 feet were conducted b Mr. Walt Curtis. Mr. Ted
1 S, 0 p Y
Tasiopoulas of EHD, County of San Joaquin, verified the critical readings. Both shallow and
' deee tests failed. The test data sheet is included in this report.
i
SOIL DESCRIPTION. GENERAL
The soil at the subdivision site can be described as cemented hardpan on low fan terraces. The
USDA Soil Survey of San Joaquin County states The suitability far onsite sewage disposal can
be improved by ripping the hardpan. In our opinion if ripping is to be done it should be ripped
to a depth of 4'both ways.
