GENERAL <br /> in this deport we present the results of our revised soil suitability and nitrate loading <br /> study for a proposed Sikh Temple to be located at 4628 E. Woodward Avenue in <br /> Manteca, California. The Assessor's Parcel Number of the property is 228-170-01- <br /> An aerial photograph showing the approximate site boundaries is presented on Plate <br /> 1. The purpose of our study was to determine the suitability of the property for septic <br /> tank usage. The study was performed in general accordance with the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1010 of San ,Joaquin County Ordinance. The following sections include <br /> f background information regarding the project site and the proposed development, past <br /> and present uses of the site, existing septic tank performance and permitting, and the <br /> groundwater conditions in the project area. In addition, discussions regarding our <br /> investicative procedures and the site conditions encountered during our fiold <br /> exploration are included. Finally, the results of our percolation tests, nitrate loading <br /> calculations, and subsequent conclusions are presented. <br /> 2. SITE DESCRIPTION I PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> At the time of our study, the relatively-flat, 5.83-acre parcel was in the tgroding phase <br /> of construction. A single-family home surrounded by scattered trees and bushes was <br /> located at the northeast corner of the property. The property was bound to the north <br /> by East Woodward Avenue; to the east by a single-family residence, scattered trees, <br /> and a fallow field; to the west by South Airport Way,- and to the south by a fallow field. <br /> The existing parcel is zoned-AU-20. <br /> We understand that a proposed Sikh Temple with associated paved parking, a <br /> detention basin, and other improvements will be constructed on the property. Ar: on- <br /> site septiclleach field system will provide sewage disposal. A new domestic well will <br /> provide water. A reap showing the approximate location of the proposed Sikh Temple, � <br /> septic/leach field, and well is presented on Plate 2. <br /> We, understand that the Sikh Temple will have a maximum seating capacity of 290- <br /> people:, and the building will be used primarily on Saturdays and Sundays. During the . <br /> middle of a typical week, we understand a maximum of 50 people will use the facility. . <br /> The temple will have a kitchen.
