GENERAL in this deport we present the results of our revised soil suitability and nitrate loading study for a proposed Sikh Temple to be located at 4628 E. Woodward Avenue in Manteca, California. The Assessor's Parcel Number of the property is 228-170-01- An aerial photograph showing the approximate site boundaries is presented on Plate 1. The purpose of our study was to determine the suitability of the property for septic tank usage. The study was performed in general accordance with the requirements of Section 9-1010 of San ,Joaquin County Ordinance. The following sections include f background information regarding the project site and the proposed development, past and present uses of the site, existing septic tank performance and permitting, and the groundwater conditions in the project area. In addition, discussions regarding our investicative procedures and the site conditions encountered during our fiold exploration are included. Finally, the results of our percolation tests, nitrate loading calculations, and subsequent conclusions are presented. 2. SITE DESCRIPTION I PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT At the time of our study, the relatively-flat, 5.83-acre parcel was in the tgroding phase of construction. A single-family home surrounded by scattered trees and bushes was located at the northeast corner of the property. The property was bound to the north by East Woodward Avenue; to the east by a single-family residence, scattered trees, and a fallow field; to the west by South Airport Way,- and to the south by a fallow field. The existing parcel is zoned-AU-20. We understand that a proposed Sikh Temple with associated paved parking, a detention basin, and other improvements will be constructed on the property. Ar: on- site septiclleach field system will provide sewage disposal. A new domestic well will provide water. A reap showing the approximate location of the proposed Sikh Temple, � septic/leach field, and well is presented on Plate 2. We, understand that the Sikh Temple will have a maximum seating capacity of 290- people:, and the building will be used primarily on Saturdays and Sundays. During the . middle of a typical week, we understand a maximum of 50 people will use the facility. . The temple will have a kitchen. According to the San .Joaquin County Onsite Wastowater Disposal Standards (page 13 of 25), churches with a kitchen should be considered to have a water use of 10 gallons/seat per person per day.
