KLEINFELDER
EXPECT MORE'
7 ASSUMPTIONS AND LIMITATIONS
7.1 ASSUMPTIONS
This workplan is based on the following assumptions:
• Oakwood Lake Water District will supply Kleinfelder with written
authorization from the property owner to obtain access to the site to install
and sample the wells.
• Adequate work space and access will be provided.
• The monitoring wells will be located based on the proposed site plan,
historical groundwater flow directions and as modified/approved by the
RWQCB. If the site plan and / groundwater flow changes after well
installation, the effected monitoring well locations may need to be
abandoned and relocated and/or additional wells may be need to be
installed due to future requirement/s of the RWQCB.
• Drilling/sampling derived wastes will be generated during the proposed
investigation. Excess drilling returns will not be contained and will be left
on site. Water generated during well development/purging/sampling and
water derived from equipment decontamination will not be contained and
will be dispersed to the land surface. The exception to this statement is
that purge water from monitoring well disinfection process described in
Section 5, will be contained and potentially discharged into the WWTP.
• Underground Services Alert (USA) at 1-800-642-2444 provides a partial
location service free of charge for major utility lines. It is important that
the client understand that subsurface structures (such as the septic
systems, irrigation lines, leach fields, et cetera) buried under private
property will not be marked by the public utility companies contacted by
USA. Oakwood Lake Water District should be aware that penetrating the
site's surface is inherently risky. It is impossible to determine with
certainty the precise location of all subsurface structures. Kleinfelder's fee
is not adequate to compensate for both the performance of the services
and the assumption of risk of damage to such structures. If the active
septic system or utilities on site are damaged by our field activities, repairs
will be necessary in order to provide continued service. Repairs are not
included in Kleinfelder's fees.
48093.E01/ST07R052/CJC/Iv Page 13 of 15
©2007 Kleinfelder, Inc January 26, 2007
