P222 392 643 <br />27 March 1987 <br />Mr. Robert Ellis <br />California Tank Lines, Inc. <br />and Chemical Transfer Company <br />3105 South El Dorado Street <br />Stockton, CA 95206 <br />CLEANUP AND ABATEMENT ORDER NO. 87-700, CALIFORNIA TANK LINES, INC., AND <br />CHEMICAL TRANSFER COMPANY <br />The enclosed document orders California Tank Lines, Inc., and the Chemical <br />Transfer Company to cleanup the contamination resulting from the hazardous <br />waste spill at your site on 23 March 1987. By 30 March 1987, initial cleanup <br />is required, including removal of contaminated bank soils and vegetation of <br />Walker Slough and cleanup of the drainage system leading from the spill site <br />to Walker Slough. <br />Any person who intentionally or negligently violates a Cleanup and Abatement <br />Order may be liable for Administrative Civil Liability in an amount not to <br />exceed $5,000 per day for each day in which the violation occurs. <br />If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact Antonia Vorster <br />at (916) 361-5670. <br />�r <br />WILLIAM H.
