The
Board may require an investigation to determine cause and culpability prior to asserting a
violation has occurred. The discharge shall not cause the following in the receiving water:
1. Concentrations of dissolved oxygen to fall below 5.0 mg/l.
2. Oils, greases, waxes, or other materials to form a visible film or coating on the water
surface or on the stream bottom.
3. The creation of a zone, defined by water temperatures of more than VF above natural
receiving water temperature, which exceeds 25 percent of the cross-sectional area of the
river channel in White Slough or Bishop Cut at any point.
10. A surface water temperature rise greater than 4°F above the natural temperature of the
receiving water at any time or place.
11. Radionuclides to be present in concentrations that exceed maximum contaminant levels
specified in the California Code of Regulations, Title 22; that harm human, plant, animal
or aquatic life; or that result in the accumulation of radionuclides in the food web to an
extent that presents a hazard to human, plant, animal, or aquatic life.
12.
