Industrial waste
is treated in holding ponds and discharged to field irrigation areas.
Effluent limitations will control pH, temperature, toxic and hazardous substances
of the discharge. Receiving water limitations will control dissolved oxygen and
temperature in the San Joaquin River.
Persons wishing to comment upon or object to the new permit are invited to submit
same in writing to the Regional Board no later than 21 August 1980. All comments
or objections received prior to this date will be considered in the draft waste
discharge requirements. If no objections are received, the Regional Board will
issue discharge requirements after a public hearing which will be held as follows:
DATE:. 22 August 1980
TIME: 10:00 a.m.
PLACE: State Capitol Building
Room 2117
(12th between L & N Streets)
Sacramento, California
Interested persons are invited to attend the public hearings to express their
views on the issues relating to the above waste discharge. Oral statements will
be heard, but for the accuracy of the record, all important testimony should be
submitted in writing. Oral statements should be brief to allow all interested
persons time to be heard.
The Board's proposed and existing requirements , related documents, and all comments
and petitions received may be inspected and copied at the Regional Board office,
3201 "S" Street, Sacramento, California 95816, at any time between 8:15 a.m. and
4:00 p.m. , Monday through Friday.
