during the final 1.6 minutes dropped off because the Halliburton pump cavitated due to low
water levels in the tanks. During injection at 126 gpm, the following logs were run:
1. Pressure at 4,000 ft was recorded during the rate change and for the first 16
minutes at the 126 gpm rate.
2. Spinner log No. 3 was run from 4,000 ft to 4,565 ft at 100 fpm.
3. Spinner log No. 4 was run from 4,565 ft to 4,000 ft at 100 fpm.
4. Spinner log No. 5 was run from 4,000 ft to 4,565 ft at 150 fpm.
5. Spinner log No. 6 was run from 4,565 ft to 4,000 ft at 150 fpm.
6. Beginning 20 minutes before the end of the test, the logging tool was parked at
4,000 ft to record the final injection pressure and pressure falloff. The falloff
was recorded for 45 minutes.
7. A noise log was run in the interval from 1,200 ft to 500 ft to check for evidence
of flow behind casing.
8.3 Logging Results
Copies of the spinner, tracer, temperature and noise logs are included in Appendix A.
Only one spinner logging run for each injection rate is shown on the June 8 log. Spinner log
Nos. 1 and 6 were chosen as most representative and are the ones presented. In each spinner
profile, there are unusual perturbations caused by changes in the cross sectional area of flow at
Mesquite Group, Inc. -21
