ATTACHMENT A
REVISED SCOPE OF WORK
LIMITED SOIL SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS
CORRAL HOLLOW ESTATES
SCHULTE ROAD (WEST OF U.P.R.R)
TRACY, CALIFORNIA
(108 RESIDENTIAL LOTS)
INTRODUCTION
Kleinfelder is pleased to present this revised proposal to Beck Development. This proposal was
developed after correspondence with Mr. Bud Chambers, using Kleinfelder's current
understanding of the site conditions, and is a preliminary understanding of your desires and
requirements. We have prepared this proposal based on information usually requested in a
workplan by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Department, Environmental Health
Division (PHS/EHD) and the State of California Regional Water Quality Control Board
(RWQCB).
Kleinfelder is committed to providing a high level of service to its clients, commensurate with
their wants and needs. If a portion of this proposal does not meet the needs of the client, or if
those needs have changed, Kleinfelder stands ready to consider appropriate modifications,
subject to the standards of care to which we adhere as professionals. Modifications such as
changes in scope, methodology, scheduling, and contract terms and conditions may result in
changes to the risks assumed by the client, as well as adjustments to our fees. We look forward
to the opportunity to serve you.
BACKGROUND
The Beck Development Company property is a 45-acre parcel located southwest of Tracy,
California in Section 29, Township 2 South, Range 5 East of the Mount Diablo Baseline and
Meridian. The property once housed a two million barrel oil reservoir, owned and operated by the
Southern Pacific Railroad Company from 1926 to 1945. In 1953, the reservoir caught fire and
burned for three days. The reservoir has since been covered and the property used for agricultural
purposes.
Beck Development Company purchased the Tracy property in 1984, with the intent of developing
the site into single-family-unit residential area.
20-YP8-160/20ISPI82/2018C356 Page A-I
© 1998, Kleinfelder, Inc.
