0 0
Beck Property,Tracy,CA November 1988 Site Investigation
Sphoto apparently showed the northwest side of the reservoir, the pump house, and a
opening in reservoir berm. The photo indicates the fire may have been concentrated
within the north half of the reservoir.
Refer to Figure 6 for a 1953 (assume pre-fire) aerial photograph of the Beck site and
the fuel oil facilities to the northeast.
Future Land Use
Beck Development currently owns the subject 45-acre property which encompasses
the entire oil reservoir. The City of Tracy plans to purchase a portion of the Beck
parcel for construction of the Schulte Road Extension through the reservoir site.
The Tracy Unified School District plans to purchase 13 acres on the north portion of
the Beck parcel for a school playground. Reference the future property land use
drawing depicted on Figure 7. Figure 8 presents an future area land use map
indicating residential development densities, school sites, etc. Low Density
Residential (LDR) development is approximately five homes to the acre.
Critical Environments
AEMC contacted the State Department of Fish and Game in November/December
1988 and tied into information provided through the Natural Diversity Data Base
(NDDB). The NDDB is a computerized inventory of information on the
identification, location and condition fo California's rare and threatened animals,
plants, and natural communities. AEMC requested NDDB information for the area
within the Tracy 7 1/2' USGS Quadrangle, yielding the following information:
o Neotoma Fuscipes Ripara/Riparian Woodrat
- Sited north of Beck property in 1955
- Candidate for Federal Listing, Category 2
o PerdgnathusInornatus/San Joaquin Pocket Mouse
- Sited in foothills south of Beck property
0 - Candidate for Federal Listing, Category 2
rlbe-ottzt Page 21
