STATl OF CALIFORNIA GEORGE DEUKMEJIAN,Governor
l ='
CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATLOQUALITY CONTROL BOARD— qW
CENTRAL VALLEY REGION
3443 ROUTIER ROAD
SACRAMENTO,CA 95827-3098
Y. l '
'SAIL"
4 April 1988 .
lIGSSS A ^ ;
APR 19'x°
ENYIROHEALTH
FERIJIT/SERVICES
Mr. Bud Chambers
Beck Development Company
3114 West Hammer Lane
Stockton Ca. 95209
QUARTERLY MONITORING PROGRAM REVIEW, BECK DEVELOPMENT COMPANY,
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
We have reviewed the data collected during the recently completed
year of quarterly monitoring at the beck Development Company's
Tracy site. A memorandum with our conclusions and
recommendations is attached.
The data indicates that the remains of the old oil storage
reservoir below the site has not caused a water quality problem.
However, due to a substantial shift in the ground water gradient
during the last year we request that you begin measuring water
levels in the existing three monitoring wells on a monthly basis.
We also ask that the ground water continue to be sampled for
total petroleum hydrocarbons and BTX on a quarterly basis. After
six months we well assess the need for additional monitoring
wells and continued monitoring at the site.
If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 361-5667.
DAVID BRENT
Project Engineer
DLB:dlb
cc: Judy Tracy, State Department of Health Services, Sacramento
Michael Locke, City of Tracy, Tracy
Ron Valinoti, San Joaquin Local Health District, Stockton
Jim Schuck, American Environmental Management Corp. ,
Sacramento
