STATE OF CALI —FORNIAEALTH AND WELFARE A• • GEORGE DEUKMEIIAN, Goveriwr
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES
TOXIC SUBSTANCES CONTROL DIVISIONi,y-
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA SECTION
4230 POWER INN ROAD
SACRAMENTO,CA 95626
(916)739-3145
November 25, 1987
To Whom It May Concern:
This letter will serve to introduce employees of Radian
Corporation, who are conducting record reviews for the Department
of Health Services. Mike Boulay, Leslie Campbell,
Joy Rogalla, Tina Nehring, Kirk Henning, Fred Weyman, Susan
Scheibel, and/or Barbara Ogar of Radian are contacting you to
review files on specific sites identified in the accompanying
enclosure, and to copy records you may have regarding these
sites. Your cooperation is appreciated.
The Department of Health Services (Department) currently has a
backlog of potential hazardous waste sites presently requiring
verification, evaluation and resolution. To resolve this
backlog, the Department' s Contractor is visiting various state
and local agency offices to collect information necessary to
complete a preliminary assessment of these sites.
The Department is primarily, though not exclusively, interested
in information regarding property ownership, site description,
process description, waste management practice and incident
history.
The Department' s Contractor will provide their own copy machines
to minimize any inconvenience or disruption this record search
may cause.
If you have any questions regarding this project, feel free to
call me at (916) 920-7525 (ATSS 430-7525) .
Sincerely,
Charles A. McLaughlin
Senior Hazardous Materials
Specialist
Enclosure
