Mr. Bud Chambers <br /> • 3114 West Hammer Lane (209) 957-0331 <br /> Stockton, CA 95209 <br /> Acreage <br /> 45 Acres <br /> • Location <br /> Northwest of the Intersection of the Southern Pacific Transportation <br /> Company Right-of-Way and Corral Hollow Road, Tracy, San Joaquin <br /> County. <br /> Land Uses <br /> • Past Uses <br /> 1926 - Early 1940s -- Southern Pacific Railroad Company owned/operated a <br /> 3,000,000 barrel reservoir for the storage of fuel oil for locomotive <br /> engines. The storage facility was discontinued, the oil drained for use, <br /> and the structure partially dismantled. <br /> • 1945 --Property sold to John and Greta Hachman, who further dismantled <br /> the facility. <br /> 1953 --Oil residues in facility caught fire and burned for more than a day. <br /> Only residual amounts of non-liquid oil remained in the facility. <br /> 1956 -- The earthen berms were pushed into the facility and the property <br /> • leveled. <br /> 1957 --Property leased to Mitsuo Kagehiro for farming purposes and <br /> subsequently purchased by Mr. Ka�ehiro in 1959. Mr. Kagehiro <br /> farmed the property for 27 years without any adverse affects or <br /> evidence of stressed vegetation. <br /> • 1984 --Property sold to Beck Development Co., Inc. and agricultural <br /> activities discontinued. <br /> Present Uses <br /> Property is vacant and inactive. <br /> • <br /> Proposed Uses <br /> o City Street <br /> o Residential Development <br /> o School District Playground Area <br /> • <br /> • <br />
