Hinson -2- 11/13/89 <br /> - A permit to remove the tanks was obtained' fram the San Joaquin County <br /> Health district, <br /> E - gasoline odors were present when the tanks were removed, <br /> soil samples were taken,and contamination found to be limited to the top . <br /> h <br /> seven feet of soil, and <br /> contaminated soil was removed and aerated to where contamination was less <br /> than the threshold level' before being pushed back into the excavation. <br /> We at Del Monte Foods are very concerned about contamination at our <br /> r facilities, but after completing the process just described with Exeltech, we <br /> are not aware a problem exists. If one does, however, we will take <br /> appropriate action. <br /> F;.
