The results
indicate that little to no hydrocarbon vapor exists in the upper 0 feet of subsurface
surrounding the former gasoline tank.
Table 4-1
Soil Gas Results of May 20, 1991
Del Monte, Plant 33, East Miner Avenue
Stockton, California
Sample Depth B T E X TVIiC
ID (ft) (ug/1) (ugil) (ug/1) (u1/1) (ug/1)
SG-18 6 <0.03 0.7 <0.1 <0 2 4
SG-19 6 <0.03 <0.07 <0.1 <E1.2 <0.2
SG-20 4 <0.03 0.1 <0.1 <0.2 0.4
SG-21 4 <0.03 0. <0.1 <{l? 2
SG-22 4 <0.03 <0.07 <0.1 <{1? <0.2
2
SG-23 7 <0.03 <0.07 <0.1 <0.2 <0.2
SG-23 13 <0.03 <0.07 <0.1 <0.2 1
B, T, E, X-- Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylenes
TVHC-- Total Volatile Hydrocarbons
<0.2 = less than the detection limit of 0.2 ugA
Soil Boring Sample Results
soil samples were collected from seven borings; four borings were drilled in the vicinity
of the former gasoline tank and three borings were drilled in the vicinity of the suspect-
ed diesel tank.
The soil samples collected from the four borings surrounding the former gasoline tank
(SB-EMG=#) were analyzed for"rPH-Gas, lead, and BTEX. The analytical results etre
shown on Tables 4-2, 4-3, and 4-4, respectively. The soil samples collected from the
three borings surrounding the former diesel tank (SB-EMDP-#) were analyzed for
BTEX and TPH-Diesel; analytical results are shown on Tables 4-4 and 4-5,
respectively.
The maximum TPH-Gas concentration detected was 3.6 mg/kg. This is only slightly
above the detection limit of 1 tng/kg. BTEX and TPH-Diesel were not detected in any
sample.
- sa=ozIWIZ P004.si 4-7
