The area surrounding the tanks is used to load products from Build- <br /> ing 34 to the delivery trucks. The ground surface is covered by six inches of concrete <br /> r reinforced with thin wire-mesh. <br /> 2.2 SITE HISTORY <br /> 2.2.1 GASOLINE TANK <br /> The 500-gallon gasoline tank was operated by Del Monte. This tank was removed in <br /> 1985, along with 36 cubic yards of gasoline-contaminated soil. The electrical piping <br /> (former power supply to the gasoline tank pump) along the outside wall of Building 34 <br /> still exists, establishing the location of the former gasoline tank. <br /> 2.2.2 DIESEL TANK <br /> It is not certain if the diesel oil tank exists.
