z,
Accuracy measurements%ill be carried out at a minimum frequency of 1 in 20 or 1 per
set.
4.23 REPRESENTATIVENI-'SS
Representativeness is a measure of noel closely the measured results reflect the actual
concentration or distribution of the chemical compounds in the soil sampled. Sampling
plan design, sampling techniques, and sample handling protocols (e.g., storage, preser-
f 6 nation, and transportation) have been developed and are discussed in Section ow this
een follow
document. Proper documentation vrill establish that protocols have bedd and
sample identification and integrity assured. Field duplicates obtained at a minimum 10
percent or one-per-day frequency will be used to assess field and transport
contaminatio.: and method variation. Laboratory sample retrieval, storage, and han-
ures have also been developed and are discussed in subsequent sections of
dung proced
this document. Laboratory method blanks will be runt at the minimum frequency of
5 percent or one per srt to assess laboratory contamination.
4.2.4 CONIPLrTENESS
Completeness is a measure of the amount of valid data obtained from the analytical
measurement system. The quantitative definition of completeness (C) is given below:
C = Number of acceptable data per target OC limits x 100
(total number of data points)
The target completeness objective for the overall project will be 90 percent; the actual
completeness for this field program may vary depending on the intrinsic nature of the
ty contra] reviews.
samples. The completeness of the data will be assessed during quali
r 4.2.5 COMPARABILITY
Comparability of the data will be maintained by using EPA-defined procedures where
-- available. Data comparability vrill be maintained by using consistent methods and con-
sistent units. Standard units to be used are-
• mg/kg :or all analytical results for soil (solid) samples
• ni.0 fpr all analytical results for water samples
4.2.6 DETECTION LIMITS
The detection limits for the various method analyses are presented in Appendix C.
w. sro;u'l5'1%Vh0ilaa1 4-3
