The Work Plan presented herein is being <br /> conducted voluntarily pending potential property transfer. Proposed work is not being conducted <br /> under the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board, Department of Toxic Substances <br /> Control, or other environmental regulatory authority requiring Work Plan approval. The Work Plan <br /> was prepared by The Source Group, Inc. (SGI) on behalf of Orton Development, Inc., the current <br /> owner of the Site. <br /> The following Site Investigation activities are proposed: <br /> • Advance soil borings and collect soil samples from the following areas <br /> o Vicinity of Underground storage tanks (USTs)#1-3 and USTs#5-8; <br /> o Waste Water Treatment Area; <br /> o Forklift Shop and Former Steam Cleaning Areas; <br /> o Cherry Building; and <br /> o Machine Shop <br /> • Collect groundwater samples from the water supply wells, if found. <br /> Details of the proposed Site Investigation are presented below. <br /> Pre-field Activities <br /> Pre-field activities include obtaining a drilling permit from the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department (SJCEHD), contracting with subcontractors, and preparation of a site specific <br /> Health and Safety Plan (HASP). Underground Service Alert(USA)will be notified at least 48-hours <br /> prior to beginning fieldwork. We anticipate that USA and their affiliated companies will mark the <br /> locations of underground utilities in the vicinity of the proposed boring locations. Results of utility <br /> locating by USA will be reviewed and the final locations of the borings will be selected. <br /> Field Investigation <br /> Field activities will include the advancement of approximately 28 borings at the Site within seven <br /> areas of concern (AOCs).
