Mr. Yoakum
May 21, 2014
Additional Field Investigation Activities—Groundwater Supply Well Sampling
A geophysical survey will be conducted under the oversight of Orton Development, Inc. to identify
the location of three groundwater supply wells reportedly located on the Site. If the groundwater
supply wells are located, SGI will collect up to three groundwater samples using "grab" sampling
methods (i.e., no purging). Prior to sample collection, all wells will be gauged using a depth to
water meter graduated to 0.01-foot increments. Groundwater samples will be collected in
laboratory supplied containers and analyzed for VOCs using USEPA Method 8260B, respectively.
Waste Disposal
Investigative derived waste (IDW) generated during assessment activities will be stored in properly
labeled 55-gallon steel containers. IDW characterization and disposal costs were not included our
proposal. SGI can provide these services for an additional fee upon request.
Site Investigation Summary Report
Following completion of Site Investigation activities, a Site Investigation Summary Report (Report)
will be prepared documenting the results of the field investigation. The Report will include tables
summarizing the soil data obtained along with figures presenting the sample locations, laboratory
analytical reports, and soil boring logs presenting the encountered lithology.
Project Schedule
Field investigation activities are scheduled for the week of June 3, 2014 and are expecting to take
approximately four days to complete. A draft Report documenting the results of the Site
investigation will be completed and submitted for review within 45 days of completion of field
investigation activities.
Should you have any questions about the Work Plan, please call me at(925)951-6373.
Sincerely,
The Source Group,Inc.
X. T
Nathan Colton
Project Scientist
Attachment: Figure 1 —Approximate Locations of Proposed Soil Borings
The Source Group,Inc.
