Description of Facility and Waste Streams
Lodi Airport is an airport for private and commercial use. Business
include a cafe, a jump school, two agricultural aircraft operators
(Renfroe Flying Service and North Coast Helicopter Service) a helicopter
repair service, and an aircraft maintenance shop. Two other agricul-
tural aircraft operators having landing and use privileges are Precissi
Flying Service and Agri-fly or Ag-Flite. There is also a rinse area in
the northeast corner of the airport where operators may wash and/or rinse
their aircraft and obtain water.
V. Observations
The airport was inspected on 25 September 1984• We met briefly with Mr.
Robert Kupka, airport owner at approximately 0930. He was busy working
with county building inspectors on a new hangar. Arrangements were made
to meet with him at 1300 hours that afternoon at the airport office. We
arrived at the office at 1302 and were met by Mr. John Kupka. John Kupka
stated his son, Robert, was not available, that he had taken off. When
questioned as to what was meant, he said hs son was flying. Shortly
after this, we saw Robert Kupka walking across the airfield toward the
office.John Kupka sent another employee to intercept him and tell him he
had a telephone call in another building.
