Mike Smith Engineering_,
_
P.O. Box 611, Lodi, CA 95241
(209) 334-2332
7/12/2017
California Tank Lines, Inc.
3105 S. El Dorado St.
Stockton, CA
RE: Tank Assessment For:
275 Gallon Waste Oil Tank
Inc.
A preliminary tank assessment has been performed upon the waste oil tank and secondary
containment at the above referenced facility. The inspection was necessary to identify
and certify the secondary containment for this system.
The waste oil tank is a steel tank, rectangular in shape with a stainless steel containment.
This containment has welded scams, and at the time of inspection showed no signs of
cracks or leaks. This system is monitored by visual inspection on a daily basis.
The tank has steel angle brackets bolted to the concrete slab to hold the tank in place
during a seismic event. The tank is a low profile tank. Therefore, overturning will not be
a concern.
This system appears to be adequate to protect against a hazardous waste spill. This letter
is not intended to be a complete Title 22 tank assessment, but a complete Title 22
assessment can be provided if necessary.
Sincerely, rfSS',;;
Zq
-18
CIV1-
Michael W.
